Florence, located in the centre of Italy, was once the centre of
the universe thanks to the illustrious period of the Renaissance
The city which gave us Michelangelo, Chianti wine and some of the
finest architecture in the world has since taken on a new importance
having become one of the most succesful leading post war city in
Italy. In fact Florence is a fine example of a booming modern city
and offers both it's residents and visitors a fantastic choice of
things to do and see. Please ask at Hotel Raffaello Reception for
further information on events in Florence.

spoken
Italian is the primary language. However, as the former capital
city of Italy and the home of Dante Alighieri Florence has a very
cosmopolitan atmosphere. English is widely understood although some
Florentines would prefer if you at least tried to speak some of
their language!
